A few words regarding Charles Eames and his DSR chair

Designed in the 50s, the DSR chair is one of the legendary Plastic Chairs (with DSW and DSX models), a series of cutting-edge chairs created by the couple of American designers Charles and Ray Eames. Driven by the desire to "make the best accessible to the greatest number", they wish to design a one-piece seat shell, to which could be associated different legs and colours according to tastes and uses. Hence, the famous Plastic Chairs were born, after a long experiment, first seats made of fiberglass reinforced polyester with a mass production. Light, functional, comfortable, robust and customisable (colours, leg), the Charles and Ray Eames's Plastic Chairs brought America into the era of the mass design! The DSR model differs from the other two models in the collection thanks to its Eiffel steel base.
